Greg Crewell - Owner

My name is Greg Crewell and I am the founding member of Emerald Edge Sharpening. This is a venture supported by my family and aligns well with my vocation as a software engineer. I can offer services to a few customers each evening and on weekends so their items are carefully sharpened and returned as soon as possible.

A little more about me...

We Get the Job Done Right

I've been sharpening my knives and blades since I was 12 years old. I initially learned to sharpen on an old Arkansas Stone after earning my first knife in the Boy Scouts. That stone was too hard and took many hours to get a good edge on any blade I put to it... but it did teach me a lot about patience and the absolute enjoyment I get from working with my hands and taking time to the right job the right way. Since that time, I've sharpened many knives and tools for family and friends with that same attention to detail of taking my time and doing things right. I try to get the best edge possible without taking any more material away than absolutely necessary, it's a tough balance made easier with the right tools and knowledge.
